This is the message.

I. John 1:1,5

Minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ has received a message from him “And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; And they went out, and preached that men should repent.” (Mk.6:12)

Christ spoke to his apostles and many others. “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets.” (Heb.1:1)

Christ revealed unto his followers who he was. “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” (Ac.9:4,5)

Christ revealed the great truths concerning man’s salvation “Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” (II.Tim.2:10)

Today he speak to us through the Scripture “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (II.Tim. 3:15, 16)

It is the duty of all Christians to declare the Word of God to all men “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;” (II.Tim.4:2)

It is our duty not to preach theories to people, but the truth of God’s. John declare that “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Light is his vesture, his garment, light abides with him, he abides in it, it accompanies his manifestations, His brightness is as a light, he is the great Source of all illuminations and he calls us to dwell and to walk in his light according to (I.Pt.2:9)

He is the light of the world, and according to (Jh.1:4) his life is the light of men.

Let us speak about the infinite intelligence of our God. He is Omniscient. No intellectual ignorance can darken his all-embracing survey of actual and possible fact ” And he (Herod) sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.” (Mt.2:8)

All hearts are open, all desires known, and from him no secrets are hid (Ps.139:1)

He knows the number of the stars, he knows the secrets of our hearts, he knows all things. To the church at Ephesus he says “I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience,” (Rev.2:2) every sparrow is known unto him according to (Lk.12:6,) Yes he knows the number of tears that fall from our eyes (Ps.56:8)

He knows us always and thoroughly. “For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.” (Ps.139:4)

Let me speak about the enlightening influence of the Lord. The Lord created the light of the material universe “God said, let there be light and there was light”

He is the great Fountain of all intellectual and moral light. He inspired Bezaleet to devise and execute skillful handiwork (Ex.31:1)

The scientist, the statesman, the poet, the artist, each all derive their light from him and he also communicates religious truth to us.

He inspired, and still inspires, the great religious thinkers, and the far and clear-sighted spiritual seers of our time. Now According to John Christ was the true light (Jh.1:9) “which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”

Look at the life-giving and stimulating influence which God employs. Light cannot create life, but it quickens, develops and strengthens it. Light is essential to every kind of life with which we are acquainted. Therefore God is the Author of all life and all force. He created the physical universe, and he sustains it (Jh.11:25) “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” Jesus said to Lazarus, “Lazarus, come forth.” (v.43.)

The forces of nature are the expressions of his power. Jesus stated “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Mt.28:18) Jesus could say to the wind “Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Mk.4:39)

Life and and strength of the soul he inspires and renews. He inspires the soul with life according to (Col.2:13) “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses” The true Christian is born of the Spirit, born of God so says (Jh 3:6) ” That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” It is the Lord who imparts and renews our strength ” He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth.” (Isa.40:29)

God is pure and has perfect holiness. No stain can soil his robe of unspeakable holiness. He is per-eminently “the Holy One” John said “in him is no darkness at all.” Neither ignorance, nor error, nor sin, nor death is found in him. (I.Tim.1:17) declares “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
