The Ark, a place of salvation.

Genesis 7:1,7
Since Cain and Abel their have always been two classes of people in the world. Wheat and tares, sheep and goats, two gates that lead to two pathways, God and mammon and Sodom and Jerusalem.

The Cain posterity are mighty in their own eyes. “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Rm.1:22)

There will come many false Christ in the last days “Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I an Christ, and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.” Lk.8:21)

Yet in the eyes of God they are only evil continually. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Gen.6:5)

The Abel line, like Noah, find grace in the eyes of the Lord.

The only hope for man is that he finds grace in The Lord’s eyes.

Jesus is the Divine Ark, the only door of salvation for all people.

The jailer at Philippi ask this question “Sirs, what must I do to be saved…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:30,31)

The place of Refuge. Jesus is the appointed way of salvation.I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (Jh.10:9)

According to (Jh.14:6) Jesus is the only way “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto theFather, but by me”

(Col. 2:10,11) declares “That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow…and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,”

There is no condemnation in Christ, (I.Pt.2:22) declares “Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth”

A place of separation. Saved ones are always set apart for God, David stated “But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is Godly for himself” (Ps.4:3)

We are to be separated from sin and judgment to be witnesses for him. Notice (Rom.12:1,2) “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God…and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

A place of safety. Noah’s needs were all met in his hid-place “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory for ever and ever.” (Phil.4:19)

It was the apostle Paul who said these words to the centurion and to the solders “But after abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have lossed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.” (Acts 27:21)

Note the Divine invitation. God said to Noah “ come thou and all thy house into the ark;” (v.1)

Jesus said “Come unto me all that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Mt.11:28)

Instead of obeying the call, same just look at it. Their interest only constrains then to take a passing glance at the great provision. “Then Agrippa said unto Paul, almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” (Acts 26:28)

Instead of obeying the call, same just talk about it. Their curiosity is awakened.

It was Nicodemus who came to Jesus by night and said “Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God:For no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.” (Jh. 3:2)

Instead of obeying the call. Same sneer at it. They laugh at the people who accept the call.

Matthew declare how the people mocked Jesus “All so the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders…If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross…he saved others, himself he cannot save.” (Mt.27: 41)

There were those who accepted the call “Noah went in.” (v.7)

Noah believed for himself, and took the decided step. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ: that everyone may receive the things done in their body,” II.Cor.10:5

The husband is to set the example for his family “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church,” (Eph.5:23)

His wife went in. Sad when a house is divided on this momentous subject. What if the husband had not gone?

His sons went in. The promise is to you, and to your children. “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:39)

The prophet Joel stated in (Joel 2:28,29) “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”

(4.) His Son’ wives went in. The promise is to all the house hold. “and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”(Acts 16:31.)
