We are all in God’s hands

Ecclesiastes 9:1,4
The hand of God is the symbol of Divine power and authority. The hand of God is the hand that will gather the righteous into Glory.

When God holds us by his right hand, we may well cherish the blessed confidence that he will, as David declared, “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” (Psa.73:24)

Our works are in God’s hand, Yet same of may perish, being unable to endure the final test. Paul stated in I.Cor. 3:12-15) “Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it…and the fire shall try every man’s work…If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” God help us not to build upon gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble.

Let all of us commit our spirit into the hands of our living Director who will help us pass through all our fears. Let me say all men are equal in the hands Of God.

All people are equal, Verse (v.1) declares ” The righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God.”  This all so includes the sinner and the foolish.

God’s breath sustains all of us. God’s providence watches over all. God’s power encircles all. God’s mercy encompasses all.

People’s action, whether good or bad, God sees them. People’s experiences, all lie before them. God know everything that happens to you before it comes to pass.

Verse (1) says ,”No man knoweth either love or hatred,” or it be love or hatred, no man knoweth;”  This is to say, if God allows happiness are adversity. It may also signify that no man can predict who will love him or hate. We can only learn what our future contains, simply by waiting for the evolution of events.

All of us are equally subject to death. Verse (2) tells us this, “All things come alike to all; there is one event,

First, to the righteous and to the wicked. To the inwardly and morally good, and to the inwardly and morally evil. All die.

Secondly, to the clean and to the unclean. To the ceremonially pure and to the ceremonially defiled.

Thirdly, To him that sacrificeth and to him that sacificeth not, that is to say to him who observers the outward forms of redemption and to him who observes them not.

Fourthly, To him that swearth and to him that fearth an oath, this simply means to the sinful and to the outwardly reverent and devout, all alike go to the dead (v.3)

All of us are equally defiled. Verse (3) tell us, “The heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in the heart which they live.”

Sin is a kind of madness. Sin is the rebellion of a creature against the Creator.

Sinners generally hope to escape punishment on the account of their sin, and attain happiness through their sins.

The seat of the sinners madness is in the heart. “The heart is deceitful above all things, desperately wicked: who can know it? “ (Jer. 17:9)

Sin affect the whole personality of a person. “O wetched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Rom.7:24)

A sinners heart is alienated from God, (Rom.8:7) says , The carnal mind is enmity against God.”  The heart is not just tainted with this madness, but is full of it.

In other words, it is, in its natural condition, wholly under the power of sin. Gen. 6:5 declares, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Apart from Divine grace, this madness continues unchanged throughout life. “When lust hath conceived, it bringth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” (James 1:15)

There is nothing in human nature itself or in its surroundings that has power to subdue and far less to eradicate this madness.

Only a new birth can rescue the soul from its dominion. Jesus stated in John 3:5 “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

All men are equally the subjects of hope. Hope is a universal possession. Verse (v.4) declares, “To him that is joined to all the living there is hope.” While you are a living soul their is hope for you.

Few are abandoned by hope. When hope expires, life generally dies. Remember Saul of the Old testament. “Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.” (I. Sam.31:4)

Rom. 8:34 tells us, “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope foe?” The pleasing expectation of future good enable the heart to endure present ills, and nerves the resolution to attempt further efforts. All of us All are equally possessed of intelligence. None of us are equal in intelligence, but equal intelligent.

We all know that we are mortal. Verse (5) says, ” The living know that they shall die.” Many frequently try to ignorant this fact of Death.

In this knowledge we are superior to the dead, who” know not anything, neither have they any more a reward, for the memory of them is forgotten;”

The dead having dropped out of life, have for ever ceased to take an interest in anything that is done under the sun.
