God remembers our sin.

Hose 7:1,2 “And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness,” God saw the wickedness of Israel.

Because of sin the body is robbed of its beauty, the mind of it vigor, and life spoiled in its influence and end.

All things are naked and opened before him.

The Lord remembers the sin of peopleAnd they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness:” (v.2)

These words are full of great truth, and are confirmed by Scripture and everyday experience “for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” (Ro.14:10)

God is omnipresent, he beholds us everywhere, and a person can never sin with out him seeing them. If I wish to escape his inspection “whither shall I go from the Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence.!”

(Ps.139:7) God is omniscient, having infinite and intimate knowledge of the affairs of people “Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him?” (Isa.40:13,14)

He needs no light to discern sin, but the light of his countenance “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (I.Jh.1:5)

One’s open transgressions and secret sins are before his eyes “Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance” (Ps. 9:8)

This knowledge is remembrance. Not that God ever forgets.

Though punishment does not always immediately follow sins, yet the sins itself is not forgotten or buried in forgetfulness.

We may wink at sin and forget it, but God never does. God’s remembrances is, instant, even the most secret things are known to him, individually and universally. “And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.” Ac.17:30)

People think that God is indifferent. “They consider not in their hearts,” (v.2) Many forget God and think that God forgets them.

Many say, the Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. People try to forget God in their thoughts,”They consider not” (v.2) Many people will not speak to their own hearts, they will not listen to the voice of conscience within.

Delilah robbed Samson of his strength and left him bound.

The young and old, the rich and poor, the happy and busy, shun his acquaintance. Many desire to put the Lord in the back ground of life.

Man desire to put him out of sight lest he should trouble them “And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.” (Acts 24:25)

Many desire not the knowledge of his ways, they wish to remain ignorant “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” (Ro.1:21)

Conduct results from thoughts, as fruit from a tree. Yet may not always be embodied in deed, but be represented by a man’s life, but the connection of one with the other is like cause and effect. “For as he thinketh in heart, so is he.” (Prov.23:7)

There are many devices in a man’s heart which lead him to act independently of God “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”(Gal.5:19,21)

So many people take no account of God in their daily duties and vocations, are their plans and pursuits Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (Ja.4:14)

For many, self is their oracle and self their counselor “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,” (II.Tim.3:2)

When men disregard God in their ways, they become more wicked in their lives. Due regard to God is essential to the order and harmony of society.

What a desolation would happen to the world without the knowledge of God.

Even among the chosen people, amid light and privileges when God was forsaken, every barrier was removed. Falsehood and injustice, cruelty and evil increased more and more “ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves,” (II.Tim.3:1)

They gave full play to evil lust and passions “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” (Gen.6:5)

Wicked nations and foolish people are a curse to each others “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (mt.24;37)

When leaders are corrupted the people will be corrupted.

Ahab preferred falsehood to truth, and was surrounded by lying prophets. Sinful rulers is a tool for all kinds of wickedness “If a ruler hearken to Lies, all his servant are wicked.” (Prov.29:12)
